3rd, 5th, 7th:
We went over comparing and ordering integers. For homework do Pg. 93 #1-9, 30-33, 37
4th:
We went over adding more than two integers. Homework is Pg. 72 #9, 10, 14, 19-24, 26-29
8th:
We had to do a second dayu of solving equations with variables on both sides. I paired them up and they worked on a worksheet (#1-10). Finish it. Here is #9 from the worksheet:
9.) 5(p+3) + 9 = 3(p-2) + 6
5p + 15 + 9 = 3p - 6 + 6
5p + 24 = 3p
-5p -5p
24 = -2p
-2 -2
-12 = p
Check: 5(-12 + 3) + 9 = 3(-12 - 2) + 6
5(-9) + 9 = 3(-14) + 6
-45 + 9 = -42 + 6
-36 = -36 Checks!!!

ReplyDeleteRemember if the variables disappear that can only mean one of 2 things, either it is all reals or no solution! (that's a hint for number 8) for help on number ten look back in your notes from Monday, we did one really close to that one!!
