Hey Guys!! Sorry I can't be there today but I had something come up I had to do. If you could do me a favor and behave for the substitute I would greatly appreciate it! I will be back as soon as I can. For today I want you to finish the work I have assigned and place it in your period's tray on the table at the front of the room. Do as much as you can in class and don't worry about the rest, that means no homework! If you finish early read your AR book or do some other homework, but don't be disruptive.
1st, 2nd, 6th, and 8th periods:
Complete Pg. 282 #s 7-28. I know you will struggle a little with this because we just started it yesterday. Do the best you can, make sure to look at the examples we did yesterday in class and the other examples in the book on Pgs. 280-281 to help you figure them out. Again, I just want you to do your best!
7th Period:
Complete Pg. 252-253 #1-26. We haven't gone through this thoroughly but I know if you look at your examples on Pgs 250-251 you can figure it out. Please do you best to complete it and turn it into the tray. Best of luck, behave or you know what! woof, woof!!
5th Period (Exploratory):
Someone show the substitute where we are in the Planet Earth DVD, it is in the computer already. Please watch the movie attentively and quietly. Thanks, have a great day!

We're past the halfway mark of yet another week, and the kids seem to be tired. Most likely due to the fact we haven't had a full week of school yet in 2010! The regular classes have Pg. 282 #1-6 (except 8th period who has 1-4 due to the fundraiser party) The advanced class was also wiped out do the party so they have a rare night without homework! Have a great evening and get some rest!!!

Ok, today we have a new friend in class his name is ELMO and he is a blast! Ask your child about it! In the regular classes we worked on using proportions to solve word problems (they can now figure out if the water company is charging you the correct amount per month!) Homework is different for each class depending upon how much time was left in class, it was on Pg. 270. In the advanced class we introduced slope, how to find it and what it tells you about lines. Homework is Pg. 246 #1-6, 9-14, and 24. Have a great evening, hope to see you at the games tonight! (You can see the weekly schedule of school events on my post earlier today.

Is has been awhile! I apologize for not being more diligent with the blog but I think everyone gets a little busy and behind with all the holidays and snow days, so let's do a little catching up shall we? In the regular recently we have been in a review chapter on adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals. We are currently on multiplying, tomorrow we will cover dividing and Wednesday we will take a quiz on all operations. The reason for reviewing these operations is we will be using them in equations in the upcoming weeks. The classes have gotten seperated a little with the early release day on Thursday so in 1st, 2nd, and 6th period today we did Pg. 204 #1-13 and in 8th period we did Pg. 204 #22-35. In the advanced class we have started into Geometry which has been a review thus far because we are going over vocabulary (point, line, plane, etc.) Today they had Pg. 230-231 #7-22.
In other news around the school there are Basketball games tonight @ Enslow:
Varsity Girls - 4:30
JV Boys - 5:30
Varsity Boys - 6:30
Also note there will be no school Thursday, Friday, and next Monday....will we ever get back on track?!
